The project is for twenty eight social housing units on a limited backlands site, behind an existing sixties apartment complex and surrounded by service lanes. New buildings are organised around a courtyard landscaped to provide gardens for both the new and existing and a common recreational space creating a sense of community and ownership. The deliberate graduation of a series of spaces varying from the semi-public to the private accomodates a varied social interaction.
